On Monday, 22 August 2022, Ambassador Pou Sothirak, Executive Director of the Cambodian Institute for Cooperation and Peace (CICP) attended the Second Meeting of the ASEAN-China Vision Group (ACVG) virtual meeting.
The 2nd ACVG Meeting aims to discuss two main topics: (1) ASEAN-China on Global Economic Recovery: Opportunity and Challenges and (2) Belt Road Initiative (BRI) and China’s Global Development Initiative (GDI): Aligning ASEAN and China’s Economic Interest.
During the meeting, the ACVG networks discussed and exchanged views on ways forward for the ASEAN-China vision to address the challenges and improve economic progress from the effects of the COVID-19 Pandemic. In addition, they discussed how ASEAN-China should cooperate with BRI and GDI and look at lessons learned from old challenges to embrace new conditions that ensure mutually beneficial development for all.
