During the dialogue, he mentioned that the hosting of the 12th Delhi Dialogue under the theme of the 30 Years of ASEAN-India Relations: Building Bridges in Indo-Pacific has reinvigorated awesomely the ASEAN and India Relations amidst emerging challenges reshaping a multipolar order that is more diverse and connected but yet more divided, with a growing influence exerted by the two most powerful countries in the global world – the United States and China.
The Dialogue is an opportune time as ASEAN and India commemorate their 30 years of relations this year. Furthermore, he stressed that as the Asia Pacific and the Indian Ocean regions are among the most dynamic in the world as well as centers of economic growth for decades, India and ASEAN should expound on their collaboration in the Indo-Pacific region; maintain steady and vibrant their collaboration on political-security issues; welcome more partners for peace and development; and explore new ideas to catalyze a more effective multilateral framework that foster cooperation, instill mutual trust, and promote common security so as to rebalanced global order with renewed commitment to international rules-based order.
