The Cambodian Institute for Cooperation and Peace (CICP) and the Asia Foundation hosted a hybrid launching event on their book entitled “Cambodia’s Chairmanship of ASEAN: Challenging Perceptions, Concretizing Consolidations” on 12 January 2022.
This publication is timely as Cambodia becomes the chair of the grouping this year. The book contains interesting reviews and analysis by expert scholars who have shared their rich perspectives on the issues regarding the ASEAN Centrality, Regional Peace and Security, the South China Sea, Cambodia’s Chairmanship of ASEAN in 2022, and many more. The event was successful with a keynote address given by H.E. Phoak Kung, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation with the participation from numerous Ambassadors, members of the diplomatic corps, government officials, members of the academia.
