Amb. Pou Sothirak, CICP Executive Director, served as an instigator during the second day of 34th Asia Pacific Roundtable on 18 May 2021, organized by ISIS Malaysia. This online session discussed national and regional repercussions in the Myanmar Crisis. The panelists included Amb. Rizal Sukma from CSIS Indonesia, Ms. Gwen Robinson from Nikkei Asia and Mr. Stephan Sakalian from ICRC Myanmar. There were interesting discussions, particularly on roles of ASEAN in managing the situation in Myanmar following the military coup on 1 February, in order to stop violence and help restore normalcy in Myanmar.
